It’s Official! Jay-Z and Ciara on Tour TOGETHER!

Jay-Z and Roc4Life.com confirmed TODAY that Jiggaman will be touring with Ciara starting July 3rd, 2009. This is definitely unexpected news, considering how up in arms everyone was about Ciaraallegedly “swagger-jacking” Beyonce. This will no doubt be a great show, nonetheless.

Jay-Z Roc's the ring, i know beyonce is like "ow!!!"

Jay-z was spotted in Manhattan yesterday wearing his wedding band to the shock of everyone. Neither Jay-z nor Beyonce have been seen with their wedding rings since the wedding in April. So…I’m guessing this is monumental. *insert blank face here*. On the heels of several rappers being exposed, Jay-z talks about being a coke dealer and what it means to “Keep It Real” in a recent interview:

‘I think it’s more important for me to be in touch with who I am than in touch with the streets, per se,’ he says. ‘Being in touch with the streets, keeping it real, that’s become a lie and a cliche. I’m not hanging on the corner in the Bed-Stuy. I hate it when rappers say, “I’m keeping it ‘hood.” I’m like, “Why? What do you mean? No one’s there by choice! You’re in the hood, by choice?”‘

He was himself a cocaine dealer from the age of 16 to ‘around 22′. The lifestyle was ‘very dangerous’ but also exciting. Jay-Z plays a lot of poker, and he uses a gambling metaphor to describe the ‘adrenaline rush’ of a life of crime. ‘It’s the highest stakes game of poker you can play. You stand to lose more than chips. The most exciting part of poker is when you’re all-in, and it’s like you’re all-in all the time. And a lot of times people get addicted to that feeling.’

‘After a while, when I did OK, it made it even harder to leave because I felt like I was making even more money than the rappers. I had a Lexus with TVs all in the car. I felt like my life was better than theirs. At that time there wasn’t no Puffys around, taking private jets. None of that shit was going on.’

Bling he feels was misinterpreted by the media as tasteless showing off, when really it was a celebration of success by people who had enjoyed precious little of that before. ‘These people came from nothing,’ he says. ‘No-thing. The bottom. And when they got money and cars and houses it was a party. Like, us being here, at the Lanesborough, eating caviar? That just didn’t happen before. Why not celebrate that?’ Source

Well I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. Reader Meagan just sent over photos of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats vacationing in Miami that she snatched from Alicia Keys Fan site. It looks like this relationship is about to go public…

I’m going to keep it completely 100.  When I posted that letter in the post TheReal Deal Between Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys, alot of people thought that it was the work of Alicia’s team trying to play damage control.  However, because of the timing of the email (a few hours after Swizz pulled the Kyte video) and the details provided, I truly believe it wasn’t her that was defending the relationship. I believe he stood up for her like a real man would.  That’s his situation. That’s not her family. He has to deal with that. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, when your man steps out, why continue to point fingers at the other woman and take blame off of YOUR man.  Look back at the timeline of the news stories and you’ll see that MaShonda and Swizz was separated before he hooked up with Alicia Keys.

Let’s reiterate: “Alicia’s only crime was falling in love with a man before the ink was dry on his divorce papers.“

From what I know and what I saw on that Kyte TV video, they are very much in love and it’s so obvious they are tired of hiding it. I wish them the best…

Jennifer Hudson Reveals Memories of Her Slain Mother

Barely seven months after her mother, brother and nephew weremurdered in Chicago, Jennifer Hudson is opening up about her relationship with her mom, Darnell Donerson. 

"I was always a mama's baby," Hudson tells Essence in the magazine's June cover story. "I'd go and sleep in her bed until I was 15 years old." 

The singer's fiancé David Otunga tells the magazine that one of Hudson's biggest concerns after she decided to throw herself back into work – she's promoting her debut album and touring with Robin Thicke – was the thought of having to answer questions about the loss of her family. 

"We don't talk about it," says Otunga, who received Donerson's blessing before he proposed to Hudson on her 27th birthday last September. "In this time when things seem so uncertain for her, there is certainty in our bond. She doesn't have to worry about losing me. I'm always going to be right here." 

Hudson, who recently re-proposed to Otunga with a Neil Lane ring to match her own engagement sparkler, says her fiancé – a Harvard-educated-lawyer-turned-pro-wrestler – is family-oriented. "I love that. And he is such a gentlemen, like, I sit in the car waiting because I can't touch the door. I am not allowed!" 

Hudson also relies heavily on her faith. "The thing that keeps me going is knowing that God is in control," she says. "It's like, if He placed me here then I must be prepared." 

Yung Joc Is Taking Block ENT & Bad Boy To Court, Exclusive Details On Shady Business Deals, And Rumored Beefs!

I got a phone call from Block Entertainment’s Yung Joc late last night. It seems the ATL rapper, who’s raked in millions for Bad Boy and Block Ent, has had his fill in dealing with shady busness practices of the music industry, particuarly Big Block. And came to me to air out his gripes.

Shady business deals, missing budgets, and now rumors of company financial hardships - Yung Joc reached out to Gyantunplugged.com to share his side of the story.

Block Entertainment’s number one artist has been noticeably absent from the roster for at least a year. There have been industry whispers going around that their was inner turmoil inside the record label, particuarly between Joc and Block. A couple of weeks ago the newest rumor was that Joc was leaving Block Entertainment all together and had decided to make the full move over to Bad Boy records. But it looks like Harv and them over at Bad Boy records is playing games with easy going MC and now Joc’s taking everybody to court.

Joc broke down all his gripes regarding his relationship with the owner of Block Entertainment - Mr. Big Block.

Joc alleges that due to contractual situations, unpaid royalties and unpaid advances the young business mogul and is legal team is currently in the process of taking legal action against his record label.

The multi-platinum rap star alleges that Block Ent/Bad Boy hasn’t offered any label support since 2007. Yung Joc went on to make shocking claims about the inner dealings of Block Ent.

According to Joc, he’s paid for his own public relations, claims to not be receiving his advance money for his projects, alleges that Block has used advances for other projects, and even makes shocking claims regarding his former management company 9196.

Joc quickly broke down his reason[s] for splitting with his former mgmt company, which happened to be owned by Big Block, but is fronted by CEO Rico Brooks. Yung Joc breaks down the situation by saying that it was nothing more then a 360 deal , that resulted in Block getting a piece of everything Joc. Wait, can’t a record label that also owns a mgmt company be considered a conflict of interest? Many people didn’t know, but Shakir Stewart and Ted Lucas took over mgmt of Joc’s career shortly after Joc ended his relationship with 9196. But since Shake’s suicide late last year, Yung Joc and two mgmt companies have taken over mgmt duties.

And what’s this I’m hearing about Big Block charging other record companies 25k to clear Joc for a record? I guess that explains why we haven’t seen Mr. Robinson in any video’s recently. Joc shared tells of Block’s ‘Suge Knight -esque” actions that’s prevented Joc from being cleared to do other music projects outside of Bad Boy and Block ENT.

But, though Jasiel Robinson is upset with his current business situation with Block, the popular artist wasn’t in the mood to throw grease. I have been hearing all kinds of rumors surrounding BlockENT and when I inquired about the street whispers, Joc made it clear that he was only interested in addressing his direct gripes with the company.

Joc is currently being legally represented by Londell Mcmillian and Nova Perry.

It should be noted that Joc’s new venture with Hot Stylz is a profitable one. Their smash single “Lookin Boy” feat Joc sold over a million ringtones and Joc’s currently hard at work on his newest project “Mr Robinson’s Neighborhood”. Joc has re-teamed up with producer Nitti and has provided me with three songs for you all to listen to, which I’ll have for you later today.

airplane food and airport food. Being stuck in hotel rooms because its to

 3. Meeting people that don't speak your language and them looking at you
poking at you and you posing in front of a photographer who can't

4. Forcing you to wear shoes that don't fit you because it has to fit for

5. Make up artist shaving your eyebrows or putting glue in your hair that
doesn't come out. I've been burnt with curling wand!

6. Have no sense of outside connection with your friends and family when
your in a foreign city like korea when you have no idea which person is
 who! Basically putting your life at risk with strangers as soon as you get
off the flight!

7. Dealing with time differences! One minute your in Spain.. The next
korea. The next miami. Yet you have to work like you've just been
refreshed at a day spa the day before.

8. Dealing with waiting in immigration for hours and hours every week
 because you travel so much! A lot of waiting around at airports... Hotels
and photo shoots... And plus people trying to crack onto you 247 because
your traveling alone most the time!

 9. Working long hours in cold and hot conditions. (We go through any
circumstances to get the money shot!) Wearing little dresses in freezing
cold winter snowy weather.

 10. Working 24hour days non stop! in korea they worked me for 27hours. I was delirious.

I am happy being a model! But its not all that easy! A lot of work goes on
between it. But in order for anything to be beautiful must go through
pain! Like the lotus that grows in the mud!

Earlier this week I got to go up to Lip Service w/ Angela Yee & Leah Rose and sit in on the taping of a show. Trey Songz was the featured guest and the ladies who called in were hot, horny and dripping for Trey Songz. I swear I think one was rubbing one out while she asked her questions. Rick Ross Explanation On Shades

Florida rap star Rick Ross is hitting back at reports that the Louis Vuitton’s claims that the sunglasses he wore on the cover were fake by producing the designer. According to Ross, the sunglasses worn on the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine were customized with solid gold accents by Jacob Bernstein, AKA “The Sunglasses Pimp.”

"It’s the same thing as buying a Rolls Royce and having it tricked out; just because the product has been customized by me doesn’t take away from the fact that the frames are authentic Louis Vuitton Millionaires," Bernstein said.

Ross appears on the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine wearing a pair of Louis Vuitton - like frames.

Controversy erupted yesterday (May 11), when a representative for Louis Vuitton issued a statement disassociating itself with XXL Magazine and Rick Ross over the glasses.

“We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks,” stated Louis Vuitton Malletier Michael D. Pantalony. “Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.”

“The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit,” Pantalony clarified. “Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.”

Bernstein, who was responsible for Ross’ customized shades, is well known in the world of fashion via his Los Angeles - based business, Jack’s Eyewear.

Bernstein has customized sunglasses for a number of actors and entertainers, including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Sharon Stone, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Brad Pitt, Usher and numerous others.

2009 BET Awards Nominations Revealed, Lil Wayne and T.I. Lead the Pack

Both Lil Wayne and T.I. dominate 2009 BET Awards nominations with five gongs, two of which are from Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer's Choice.

Nomination recipients for this year's BET Awards have been announced at "106 & Park" on May 12, and grabbing the most nods were rappers Lil Wayne and T.I.. The two musicians received five nominations each. 

Among the five gongs, Weezy and T.I. are set to face off against each other in two fields, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer's Choice. In those categories, they are joined by such contenders as Rick Ross, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Beyonce Knowles,Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy, Rihanna and T-Pain. 

Lil Wayne and T.I.'s domination in the nominations list aside, newcomerKid Cudi got one gong for Best New Artist. He will go head-to-head with such singers as Ryan Leslie, M.I.A., Jazmine Sullivan and Keri Hilson. 

2009 BET Awards will be conducted at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28, at 8 P.M. EST/PST. Jamie Foxx is billed as its host, while Beyonce Knowles, MAXWELL and Ne-Yo are all recruited to make live performances at the ninth annual awards.
